NTS Pool

The NTS pool provides Network Time Security (NTS) servers from around the world for secure time synchronization over the internet.

The NTS pool is similar to the well-known NTP Pool Project, but provides only NTS-capable servers. NTS is an extension to the Network Time Protocol (NTP). NTP is used daily by hundreds of millions of devices, but unfortunately it is vulnerable to several attacks that could cause your computer to accept time from unauthorized sources. NTS adds protection that prevents these kinds of attacks.

You can start using the NTS pool on your personal computer or server right away. For instructions, see the usage instructions. Note that the pool is currently still under development and does not have many servers yet.

We rely on volunteers and other organizations for hosting NTS servers. You can help us grow the NTS pool by joining the pool. A bigger pool allows us to provide NTS to more people eventually provide secure time synchronization to every computer.

The NTS pool is operated by the Trifecta Tech Foundation, a Dutch non-profit organization that develops open infrastructure software in the public interest.
